as husband turns 51 today, i’m again overwhelmed with joy and awe that i am so blessed. my fella has been working 12-hour days to help the folks in newburgh clean up after the deadly storm and last evening went to the funeral of a friend, so he’s a rather sober character right now; however, we’ll have a big time in church tonight to start the advent season and that will no doubt perk him up. the losses we’ve faced this year have made us both very aware of our need and love for each other and humbly thankful for what we have accomplished together, but we don’t take for granted that tomorrow will arrive. taking one day at a time, we celebrate and mourn as each dictates, loving as we are Loved. happy birthday, honey…and thanks.
i don’t know how to express how humbled i am by the gracious love that was poured out on my daughter and her daughter at this awesome gathering. it couldn’t have been more warm or loving. many thanks to brandi and jess for their help and support. many thanks to all of the folks who took their time to be with us. many thanks to God for all His Love that has brought us through the tough times to this wonderful place–to Him be all the glory!!
there hasn’t been much to report recently except for cleaning, food-shopping, and work; preparing for the baby-shower/open house on saturday. moon and bear are on their way and boychild allegedly will drive down this morning; his lovely wife will follow later this afternoon. tomorrow will be traditional thanksgiving fare and friday we’ll buy a car for bumble. looking forward to seeing my kids and then my friends, thankful for my overflowing abundance of blessings and favor. may God bless us all!!
