we were back up to lafayette to finish up the front porch railing and put in a cat-door at the jr. casey casa. olivia was as sweet as ever.
the weatherman announced the end of the growing season tonight, so all of my herbs are on the porch or harvested and hanging to dry. anyone who needs oregano, rosemary, basil, or mint needs to speak on up. i’d love to share them with you.
casey carved the coolest pumpkins for the party. this one, especially, was intricate and i tried to get a good picture, but this is the best i could do at the time. (camera was a little drunk) the other is a more traditional pumpkin-face and we set them out on the front porch until i can get them placed and take some more pictures. last night, alas, a critter crawled up and chewed off the cat’s face. casey said he took some toothpicks to put it back on, but i’m glad i got these shots the other night…
thanks to the families whose presence made the party such fun! note to my kids: this is an event you will not want to miss next year–mark your calendars and be here! love you all…..
