short, but sweet
that’s not us doing that obnoxious whooping….
it was magically happy seeing the world through the eyes of a very imaginative 3-year-old for 4 1/2 days of fun and music. emma magnolia is just the best. i put together a collection of pictures over in my flickr account. i took a few over 500 and i’ve got it pared down to 55, in chronological order. please go there: www.flickr.com, rightbug? and watch it as a slide show.
i also want to thank emma’s mom & dad and give them a show of respect for the wonderful job they’re doing nurturing their little girl. they are a beautiful family and the love just flows.
if you’re too lazy to check out my flickr page, you’ll still have to see the pix at the egg hunt on saturday. more details of the party to follow.
and just in the nick of time, we’re off to Walt Disney World (the happiest place in the world) where we’ll feel the love and spread the magic. see ya real soon! next week, actually. lovelovelove
erin go bragh! all those limericks and toasts that end in “and may ye be in heaven a half-hour before the devil knows you’re dead”. hope you’re wearing green.
it’s looking green outside and don’t we all love it. i’ve got the egg-hunt time pinned down: April 4, 2009 at 4pm. i’m looking forward to it very much, but wanted to firm up the date and time so i can turn my mind to WDW.
i’m so excited, but as usual procrastinating really “getting ready” for the trip. i have taken off friday, giving me a proper excuse for my laziness. today after work i hope to accomplish something, not sure what; maybe new sandals, or some tops; accompany husband to the optometrist and maybe have some green beer.
in the meantime, isn’t olivia darling? she’ll be at the egg hunt, too.
it was a flying trip, but the smiles from olivia made it all fun.
there are tons more pictures, but i’m tired. go to my flickr site if you are interested; otherwise, wait and i’ll put some more up later.
just got back from the wedding shower. it felt like a reunion to be back at concordia with the gang. i really enjoyed it and probably worked off the cake-calories when we cleaned up. now i’ve packed and we’re headed up to lafayette to visit with olivia and her parents. i’ll be back sunday evening with pictures…..
stroke of genius: cut hair to just below jaw-jowls in order to minimize. very white blonde, but i’m feeling so much lighter.
i get up in the morning
drink a cuppa coffee
look out of the window and
try to get it started
i turn it all over
plow it all under
i plant ‘em in the springtime
pick ‘em in the summer
i live in my own mind–ain’t nothin’ but a good time
no rain, just sunshine out here in my own mind.
i live where i can breathe, ain’t nothin’ but a cool breeze
nobody that it won’t please out here where i can breathe.
i’m seriously still ca-razy about lyle lovett and this one has been waking me up for months now.
just thought i’d share.
