Interview with Jessica Tempel Casey

Filed under: Uncategorized — TheBug @ 7:56 am

My lovely daughter-in-law, Jessica, was born August 11, 1982 in Manassas, Virginia, the firstborn of Mike and Sandy Tempel.  Her mom and dad were native to Dale, IN and had moved to the east coast when Mike began working for IBM.  Jessica was soon joined by siblings Josh (1984) and Jackie (1986) and the family is very close and loving.  They moved back to Evansville when Jessica was in the 4th grade and she attended Highland Elementary, Thompkins Middle, and Central High schools.  In the 7th grade, she started “going out” with the love of her life (and mine), Michael Casey.  They have been together so long that I can’t honestly remember Not knowing her. At one time I felt like they should ”break up”, thinking they should “date around”; in the end, I couldn’t figure why–she’s a good person who has brought out the best in my son.  She graduated from Purdue in 2004 with a degree in Pharmaceutical Science and began work at Indocyte in Lafayette;  married Michael in 2005 and they bought a house and settled in.  Their daughter, Olivia, was born in May, 2008 and Jess is a wonderful, caring mommy.  I know I have intimidated her sometimes (I think she was scared of me for the first 5-or-so years), but she now knows that I sincerely love her and am so grateful for the quiet, steady vibe she adds to our lives.  I kept meaning to interview her at Christmas, but didn’t have time.  She (like most of my next interviews) completed the generic questionaire.
